Norwegian Aqua - Deck Plans, Details, Dining, Itineraries, & More - Full NCL Ship Guide — Freestyle Travelers (2024)

The Norwegian Aqua is the latest addition to the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, and we’re here to share everything we know about this exciting new ship. While complete details are still emerging, we have information on the ship’s deck plans, staterooms, and upcoming itineraries for 2025 and 2026.

We're eagerly awaiting more details about the Norwegian Aqua's dining options and activity venues. Rest assured, we will update this article with new information as it becomes available, keeping you informed about all the amazing features and experiences the Norwegian Aqua has to offer.

Size and Structure

Bigger and more spacious than its predecessors, the Prima and Viva, the Norwegian Aqua is designed to enhance the passenger experience. With the capacity to hold 3,571 guests at double occupancy, compared to the 3,099 on both the Prima and Viva, the Aqua offers a more expansive cruising experience. The ship is elongated, with an addition of 20 balcony staterooms in length on each side, which makes the Aqua not only larger but also gives it a more spacious feel.

One of the improvements that we hope to see with Norwegian Aqua’s expanded size is the enlargement of public venues, such as Syd Normans Pour House and Improv at Sea. Feedback from cruisers from the Prima and Viva have often highlighted that these areas can feel a bit cramped due to their popularity.

Norwegian Aqua Deck Plans

Though specific details are limited, the deck plans reveal some exciting features. A notable difference from its sister ships, the Prima and Viva, is the absence of a racetrack. In replacing the traditional racetrack found on its sister ships, the Norwegian Aqua introduces the Aqua Slidecoaster, a first-of-its-kind attraction that merges the thrills of a rollercoaster with the spills of a waterslide. This innovative feature uses magnetic propulsion to send riders soaring through two unique courses that twist around the ship's funnel. We hope that this new Aqua Slidecoaster will allow for more sun deck space that the Prima and Viva did not have.

Shown below are Decks 19, 18, 17, 8, 7, 6.

Norwegian Aqua Staterooms:

The Norwegian Aqua has unveiled an exciting array of staterooms to offer an enhanced and comfortable cruising experience for its guests. The latest in Norwegian Cruise Line’s Prima Class, the Aqua sails alongside the Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, bringing a fresh perspective to luxurious sea voyages. The ship proudly introduces new solo stateroom categories, but more notably, the new Haven 3-Bedroom Duplex Suite with Large Balcony. While the design essence is retained from the Prima and Viva, the Norwegian Aqua’s staterooms lean more toward earth tones and heavier fabrics. This new design approach creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making passengers feel at home while enjoying the splendid ocean views.

A wide variety of stateroom categories are available on the Norwegian Aqua, ensuring that every traveler finds a space that meets their needs and enhances their cruising experience. Below is the full list of all Norwegian Aqua stateroom categories:
