She shot to fame as an opinionated 17-year-old who divided the opinion of the nation during her stint on The X Factor in 2010.

But Cher Lloyd proved her transformation from schoolgirl to starlet has been well and truly completed as she attended the Clive Davis pre-Grammy bash in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday night.

Posing up a storm on the red carpet, the 19-year-old singer positively dazzled in a daring sheer panel dress as she joined the great and good of the music industry for an evening of celebration.

Showing off her slender figure, the Swagger Jagger hitmaker opted for a fashion forward LBD for her moment in the spotlight, which she teamed with a pair of towering patent peep toe heels.

The Malvern-born teen chose a particularly daring dress for the swanky pre-Grammy bash, with just a few sequins and a ruffle detail down the cente of the garment protecting her modesty.

A far cry from some of the quirky hairstyles she has sported in recent months, the star chose a demure 'do, with her locks swept to the side in a cascade of tumbling Hollywood curls.

Cher cast aside her usual heavy eye make-up for a more demure look, showing off her perfect porcelain complexion with just a slick of eyeliner and rouge lips.

The look was a far cry from the co*cky teenager who graced The X Factor stage two-and-a-half years ago.

Mimicking the style of her then-mentor Cheryl Cole, Cher wore her hair up in a scruffy quiff style, and wore a pair of shredded camouflage jeans with a black leotard and military-inspired jacket.

The singer's sense of style has come a long way since then, with her showing off her fashion credentials in a number events over the course of the weekend alone.

On Friday night, the teen star dazzled in a multicoloured minidress as she attended the 5th annual KIIS FM pre-Grammy bash.

The star then hot-footed it to the Friends 'N' Family Pre-Grammy Party in Los Angeles, where she chose a tasteful vampy strapless dress as she walked the red carpet.

Cher was joined at the Clive Davis bash by the likes of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Scottish singer Emeli Sande.
